About the position

The Test and Evaluation Engineer position at SURVICE Engineering involves supporting the Tactical Systems Test and Evaluation Branch within the Product Assurance and Test Directorate. The role focuses on mentoring less experienced engineers, collaborating with various stakeholders, and maintaining test-related documentation. The engineer will also coordinate test meetings, provide programmatic advice, and develop T&E best practices, contributing to the overall mission of enhancing the capabilities of the defense community.

Responsibilities

• Support and mentor less experienced T&E engineers in developing T&E strategies and processes.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and external organizations to ensure effective test evaluations.
• Develop and maintain a T&E competency management program, including training and career development.
• Maintain test-related documents and schedules, ensuring compliance with ATEO policies.
• Coordinate and participate in engagements with ATEO, ATEC HQ, and DOT&E.
• Lead the development of test-related common SOW language and validation plans.
• Conduct quarterly test meetings to discuss ongoing programs and share lessons learned.
• Provide T&E programmatic advice to program offices across PEO CS&CSS.
• Develop and present data for program reviews and status reporting.
• Encourage cross-PM communication within the PEO CS&CSS Test Community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field of study.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in test and evaluation engineering.
• Ability to mentor and support less experienced engineers.
• Strong collaboration skills with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of program management processes and SE practices.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Transitioning military experience is encouraged.
