As a Test and Evaluation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in analyzing system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop comprehensive Test and Evaluation (T&E) plans and procedures. Your responsibilities will include preparing for and conducting data collection, performing test data analysis, and reporting on the status and results of tests. You will also support the development of Government T&E documentation and collaborate with other test organizations to ensure effective T&E program integration. In this position, you will leverage your experience to work closely with testers, developers, engineers, and cyber experts from the Navy, Warfare Centers, and other testing agencies. Your primary focus will be on evaluating hardware and software developed for integration into Fleet assets. You will create test plans that incorporate mission-based test cases derived from user stories. Utilizing both test automation and manual processes, you will generate data and execute test cases to assess system performance. Documenting the results and communicating any defects to the development team will be essential for driving system improvements. Your role will also involve developing T&E plans and evaluating the effectiveness, suitability, and cybersecurity of the program. Your technical expertise will be vital as you assess large-scale cybersecurity systems.
