About the position
The Test Automation Engineer (API/Karate) role focuses on implementing an automation framework and automating test cases using the open-source Karate test automation platform. The position aims to optimize test execution time while ensuring thorough testing practices and processes are established within the team. The engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business requirements and contribute to planning activities from a testing perspective.
Responsibilities
- Implement automation framework and automate test cases using open-source Karate test automation platform to optimize test execution time.
- Maintain and update test suite for new features and perform regression testing.
- Drive testing practices and process setup for the team.
- Contribute to planning activities from a testing perspective and elaborate testing tasks in the Jira board.
- Collaborate with business analysts and technical contacts to understand business requirements and impacts of new functionalities.
- Review and update test cases/scenarios to ensure full test coverage as per the acceptance criteria defined in the user stories.
Requirements
- Expertise in Java.
- Proficiency in Selenium.
- Experience with KarateAPI/Postman.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Programming, or Engineering.
