About the position

The Test Automation Engineer Hardware position at LTTS involves developing and implementing automated test systems for various hardware components, particularly in the context of downhole MWD/LWD tools. The role requires a strong background in programming, electronics troubleshooting, and test automation, with a focus on ensuring the reliability and functionality of electronic systems through rigorous testing and validation processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated test systems using Python or C#
• Design test systems for various testing needs
• Support prototype building and coordination with cross-functional teams
• Analyze and develop Test Plans and procedures for Qualification and Acceptance processes
• Prepare test setups, perform system integration, and conduct design verification and validation
• Deliver technical presentations and reporting

Requirements

• Proficiency in programming with LabVIEW (primary), C++, and Python (secondary)
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN BUS, I2C, and RS232
• Experience in test automation and hardware testing
• Ability to support downhole MWD/LWD tools with electrical troubleshooting
• Strong electronics troubleshooting skills
• Experience in electronics hardware design
• Basic understanding of Analog and Digital Electronics and various components
• Experience in test program development and real-time signal analysis
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities during verification and validation of test systems
• Experience in creating test plans and conducting various types of testing
