About the position

The Test Automation Engineer position at Trillium Professional involves collaborating with various engineering teams to develop and execute tests for advanced autonomous vehicle technologies. The role focuses on setting up and running Ethernet tests, developing necessary scripts and tools, and ensuring effective communication and documentation within the team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run Ethernet tests.
• Develop scripts, libraries, and tools to run tests on networking firmware and hardware.
• Work collaboratively with design engineers and project managers to plan and execute test campaigns.
• Document software to make it easily accessible to internal and external team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of networking experience or equivalent.
• Experience testing TCP/IP using Python or C/C++.
• Experience using network traffic generators (e.g., made by IXIA, XENA, or SPIRENT).
• Knowledge or experience in testing PTP, ARP, ICMP, SNMP, TFTP, SCP, SSH, RSTP, and L2/L3 performance.
• Knowledge of routing, switching, IP addressing, subnetting, and network security in Linux.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with basic mechanical, electrical, and optical test procedures.
• Experience working with CAN networks.
• Experience with emerging Ethernet technologies.
• Experience using test automation frameworks and object-oriented programming in Python.
• Experience with Jira, Bamboo, CI/CD, and test-driven development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
