About the position

The Networking group at Apple is seeking a passionate Software Quality Engineer to develop and automate tests, focusing on performance characterization for innovative products such as iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod, and Mac OS. This role involves debugging complex software stacks and designing analysis and visualization tools to enhance screening process efficiency, while collaborating with multiple teams in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and automate tests for software quality assurance.
• Work on performance characterization tests for networking stacks.
• Debug complex and layered software stacks.
• Design and develop analysis and visualization software tools.
• Collaborate with multi-functional engineering teams to improve user connectivity experience.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++.
• Experience in developing scripts and tools.
• Ability to work with multi-functional engineering teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience debugging in a highly concurrent environment.
• Familiarity with the TCP/IP suite of protocols.
• Knowledge of network configuration protocols (e.g., DNS, DHCP, Bonjour).
• Track record of shipping high-quality products.
• Experience with system performance characterization.
