About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join the Critical Payments Platform (CPP) team within the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) division. This role focuses on building and maintaining high-quality, scalable software solutions while adhering to best practices in an Agile environment. The engineer will be responsible for developing automation tests, collaborating with developers, and ensuring effective application management activities.

Responsibilities

• Leverage appropriate tools for software engineering.
• Gather and analyze requirements to translate them into test cases for complex testing projects.
• Develop Java-based automation tests and write simple Java code with guidance.
• Plan, code, implement, and report automation testing, improving automation coverage in overall testing plans.
• Log, track, and verify resolution of software and system defects.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
• Act as a liaison to engage developers in identifying test scripts.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Nice-to-haves

• Test automation experience in a complex, highly integrated environment.
• Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment.
• Knowledge of Java programming language.
• Experience with Selenium.
• Understanding of automation test concepts and practices and tools.
• Experience with Git or GitHub.
• Cloud Certification.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Banking or financial services experience.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
