About the position

The Test Automation Hardware Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing automated test systems for downhole MWD/LWD tools. This role involves troubleshooting electronics, designing test systems, and ensuring the functionality and reliability of electronic components through rigorous testing and validation processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated test systems using Python or C#.
• Design test systems for various testing needs.
• Support prototype building and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze and develop Test Plans and procedures for Qualification and Acceptance processes.
• Prepare test setups, perform system integration, and conduct design verification and validation.
• Troubleshoot electronics hardware and provide design solutions for electronic systems.
• Create test plans, perform functional verification, and conduct reliability testing.

Requirements

• Experience in test program development and real-time waveform monitoring.
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, including components like batteries, inductors, transformers, capacitors, A/D & D/A converters, and processor-based architecture.
• Proficiency in automation testing and interfacing with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and power supplies using Python or LabVIEW.
• Strong skills in testing and troubleshooting power electronics circuits.
• Ability to verify and validate test systems and designs.
