About the position

The Test Engineer will support senior Test Engineers in the coordination and implementation of test plans for Structural Strength Testing. This role involves planning, scheduling, and conducting tests, as well as fabricating fixtures and writing operational instructions while ensuring adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with NASA project level customers to ensure mission success.
  • Work with a diverse team to design, develop, setup, and perform structural testing on space flight qualification hardware.
  • Participate in safety culture initiatives and attend relevant meetings to support customer requirements.
  • Develop and deliver reports and presentations to support customer requirements.
  • Perform safety and certification training as needed.
  • Familiarize with OSHA standards.

Requirements

  • Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience in the aerospace field.
  • Experience with load control systems and instrumentation systems, particularly in strain, displacement, and force measurement.
  • Knowledge of facility and space hardware operations, high pressure gas and hydraulic systems, and operations involving cryogenic liquids and explosives.
