About the position
The Test Engineer 5 position at Torch Technologies involves acting as the primary liaison between the Sensors Office, test agencies, and contractors to ensure the success of test requirements for US Army Sensors. The role requires coordination of test activities, management of budgets, and support for test events across various locations, contributing to the company's commitment to excellence in defense support.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, test directors, and contractors on test activities.
- Attend and contribute to planning meetings, including TRRs, TDRs, TIMs, and flight briefs.
- Serve as a test witness at ground and flight test events at multiple test sites.
- Oversee test budget forecasts and account balances; update leadership on test funding.
- Submit AWR documents and provide regular updates on test activities to leadership.
- Manage Apache fleet utilization requirements to support Sensors testing.
- Review, coordinate, and disseminate test reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of progressively complex experience in relevant test or engineering roles.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to act as a liaison across teams and agencies.
- Experience with budget management and reporting.
