About the position

The Test Engineer, I position at Zebra Technologies involves co-developing manufacturing test solutions and applications in collaboration with advanced engineers. The primary focus is on developing and supporting automated test solutions using the latest tools and technologies. This role requires close interaction with senior test engineers and design teams to create highly automated, connected Smart IIOT-based solutions for manufacturing sites. The position offers opportunities for advancement into leadership roles within the technical operations of the supply chain, focusing on optimizing and innovating manufacturing test strategies for a range of Zebra products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test software and hardware design for manufacturing test systems for calibration and functional testing of electronic devices.
  • Document test solutions, drawings, schematics, and specifications according to departmental practices.
  • Perform measurement validation and acceptance criteria using Measurement System Analysis (MSA) tools.
  • Support product testing during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase and provide sustaining support.
  • Undertake automation projects to optimize manufacturing lines, improving product quality and efficiency using LSS and I4.0 Framework.
  • Make changes or upgrades to existing systems under supervision, enhancing technologies for new solutions.
  • Articulate designs for test systems and exchange ideas with peers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Successful completion of a prior Zebra Internship.
  • Experience in Python scripting, Labview, C+.
  • Basic knowledge of data analytics tools like Power BI/Looker.
  • Understanding of technical analysis related to electronic systems.
  • Software development training certifications.
  • Quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
