About the position

Molex is seeking a talented Test Engineer to join our Engineering team, focusing on optical solutions. As a leading provider of optical communication components, intelligent modules, and subsystems, we are committed to delivering high-performance optical components that meet the demands of various market segments, including data centers, access, metro, and long-haul applications. The Test Engineer will play a crucial role in our fast-paced environment, contributing to the development and testing of optical network modules, circuit packs, and subsystems. In this position, you will be responsible for executing automated tests, analyzing test results, and meticulously debugging defects. You will further improve our automated Python tests and create scripts to post-process and visualize datasets generated by these tests. Your analytical skills will be essential in generating comprehensive test reports and performing data analysis to guide performance improvements and design enhancements. Collaboration with other engineering groups will be key as you work to debug defects and enhance test coverage. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with at least two years of experience in testing and test automation development using Python. Hands-on lab experience and familiarity with automation practices for lab testing are also required. Experience in the datacom and telecom industry, as well as with optical transceivers, will be considered a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Execute automated tests and analyze test results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in testing and test automation development with Python.
  • Experience with automation practices and solutions for lab testing.
  • Hands-on lab experience.
  • Strong analytical skills.
