About the position

ASRC Federal System Solutions, LLC. (AFSS) is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to support radar mission systems testing in Colorado Springs, CO, specifically for the Ground Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Service (GMASS) program. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing testing methods and equipment that are crucial for the evaluation of mission-critical defense systems. The position requires a proactive approach to planning and arranging the necessary labor, schedules, and equipment for testing and evaluating both standard and special devices. The Senior Software Test Engineer will provide the test area with parameters for sample testing and will specify the tests to be performed. This includes compiling data and defining any changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. The engineer will also be responsible for testing all customer samples and conducting special tests that cannot be performed in the test area. This role is vital in ensuring that the systems meet the required standards and function effectively in real-time scenarios. The pay range for this position is between $85,000.00 and $120,000.00, depending on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
  • Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
  • Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
  • Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
  • Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

Requirements

  • Technical experience and knowledge of developing, implementing, and supporting software/hardware mission systems.
  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years or more experience; Master's degree and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.
  • Active Secret clearance required.

Nice-to-haves

  • IAT Level 2 Certified (preferred)
  • Experience and working knowledge of the GMASS-covered systems.
  • Detailed understanding of hardware/software, network, cybersecurity, integration, unit, factory, operational, and acceptance testing.
  • Operations and/or testing experience of radar or similar mission systems.
