About the position

The Senior Software Test Engineer at ASRC Federal is responsible for supporting radar mission systems testing as part of the Ground Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Service (GMASS) program. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing testing methods and equipment, as well as planning and arranging the necessary resources for effective testing and evaluation of devices.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
• Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
• Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
• Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
• Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree with five (5) years or more experience; Masters degree with three (3) years or more experience; PhD with 0 years related experience.
• Technical experience and knowledge of developing, implementing, and supporting software/hardware mission systems.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• IAT Level 2 Certified (preferred)

Nice-to-haves

• Experience and working knowledge of the GMASS-covered systems.
• Detailed understanding of hardware/software, network, cybersecurity, integration, unit, factory, operational, and acceptance testing.
• Operations and/or testing experience of radar or similar mission systems.
