About the position

The Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for analyzing system requirements and developing comprehensive test plans and procedures. This role involves conducting data collection and analysis, reporting on test results, and supporting the development of government test and evaluation documentation. The engineer will collaborate with other test organizations to ensure effective program integration and provide specialized testing capabilities tailored to system functions and performance areas.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements and develop evaluation and test plans and procedures.
• Conduct data collection and analysis, reporting status and results.
• Support the development of Government test and evaluation documentation such as T&E Strategy and T&E Master Plan.
• Plan and execute performance analysis and data collection for testing events.
• Establish and employ data and configuration management capabilities.
• Coordinate with program Systems Engineering to inform evaluation planning.
• Produce evaluation plans, analysis plans, and risk assessments.
• Execute testing and data collection per established plans.
• Communicate issues and solutions to government and contract management.
• Manage T&E resources and ensure quality assurance of test processes.

Requirements

• Eight years of experience as a Test Engineer in similar programs and contracts.
• Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related discipline.
• Experience using the Linux CLI.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting.
• Experience with software testing methodologies including test planning and execution.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with parallel computing concepts and distributed systems.
• Experience with Splunk for data analysis.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence).
• Experience with Git Source Control System.
