About the position

As a Test Engineer at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of cybersecurity systems and products. This position involves conducting comprehensive testing, developing test plans, identifying vulnerabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system security. You will also be responsible for generating detailed reports and participating in design reviews to ensure security is integrated into the development process.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive testing of cybersecurity systems and products to ensure their security and effectiveness.
• Develop and implement test plans and procedures based on industry standards and best practices.
• Identify and report any vulnerabilities or weaknesses in cybersecurity systems or products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues found during testing.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and incorporate them into testing strategies.
• Generate detailed reports and documentation of test results, including recommendations for improvement.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and findings.
• Utilize technical expertise to propose and implement solutions for improving cybersecurity systems.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure security is built into the development process.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures.
• Adhere to all DIA and DoD for cybersecurity and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of related experience in test engineering or cybersecurity testing.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph.
• DoD Manual 8570.01-M certification at the Information Assurance Technical (IA T) Level I.
