About the position

The Test Engineer position at Coherent involves conducting hands-on testing and characterization of silicon photonic IC components and subsystems. The role requires performing chip-level optical alignment and corresponding optical/electrical testing, as well as supporting wafer-level testing. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Industry background with 1 year+ working experience, lab experience preferred.
  • Strong coding ability with Python or other computer languages.
  • Hands-on experience with fiber, optical and electrical test equipment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in material management and handling fine materials.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
