About the position
The Test Engineer position at Actalent involves working on a team to test emerging software capabilities for a next-generation cyber training environment for the US Army. The role focuses on designing and creating hardware/software test cases, scenarios, and procedures, performing various levels of testing, and developing test plans and reports. Collaboration with customers, development staff, and systems engineers is essential to understand system requirements and software implementation.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and creation of hardware/software test cases, scenarios, and procedures.
- Perform unit testing, configuration item and system level tests.
- Support verification/validation testing as required.
- Develop test plans and test reports for all levels of testing performed.
- Work closely with customers, development staff, and systems engineers to understand system requirements and software implementation.
Requirements
- Experience in software testing.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr.
- Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
- Experience with virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with Linux operating system.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Cyber Operations Training.
