About the position
The Test Engineer position at Continental involves coordinating and overseeing various tests on passenger and commercial vehicles, ensuring the reliability and quality of data collected. The role requires maintaining test equipment, evaluating test results, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Test Engineer will also assist in training and the integration of non-standard test methods.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate operation of passenger vehicle, commercial vehicle, and traction trailer to perform required tests.
- Oversee preventive, regular, and emergency maintenance on test equipment.
- Evaluate and communicate test results to customers, ensuring data quality and reliability.
- Ensure equipment meets calibration requirements and schedule calibration checks.
- Verify Grip Quality documents and Work Instructions related to testing are up to date.
- Assist with the development and execution of departmental training.
- Responsible for the integration of non-standard test methods.
- Assist in ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or similar preferred)
- 2+ years of related professional experience
- Data evaluation experience
- Strong organization skills
- Fluent in English language
- Legal Authorization to work in the US is required.
