About the position

The Test Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions to technical problems related to electronic hardware assemblies and PCBs. This role focuses on ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance with customer specifications through the design and execution of tests. The ideal candidate will thrive in a cross-functional team environment and possess a strong background in testing processes and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize test and assembly processes to ensure quality, capacity, cost-efficiency, and safety.
  • Analyze customer product specifications and system requirements to create corresponding test requirements.
  • Perform system verification and validation testing, analyze data, report discrepancies, and implement corrective actions for production readiness.
  • Support daily operations on the manufacturing floor, driving continuous improvement of key production cells.
  • Apply lean problem-solving methodologies to optimize production processes and product design, with measurable business impact.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, implement solutions, monitor results, and ensure sustainability of corrective actions.
  • Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures for troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop component designs and repairs that meet performance, cost, and quality expectations.
  • Provide support to production teams in the setup and debugging of new applications.
  • Utilize electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, data acquisition tools, ammeters, and voltmeters.
  • Program microcontroller-based control boards and conduct step-by-step testing to validate and analyze product performance.
  • Generate test reports, update schematics, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of work experience (such as military training or trade school).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EMS/OEM manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in RF wireless technology.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and electrical/engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with J-Standards and ISO-9001.
