About the position

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team, responsible for compiling, researching, analyzing, and documenting data, requirements, workflows, processes, functionality, and controls within the ISD group. This role involves developing and evaluating information to prepare recommendations that drive decision-making, applying extensive knowledge across complex, high-impact projects, and serving as a technical specialist and advisor within the team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough testing of RESTful APIs, covering both frontend and backend functionality.
• Create, update, and maintain test plans and cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Write and execute test scripts in BDD format (Gherkin language).
• Utilize Postman and Soap UI extensively for API testing and validation.
• Analyze JSON/XML structures and validate APIs through SQL queries.
• Conduct test case reviews to promote best practices in testing processes.
• Manage defect triage, prioritization, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate testing progress, results, and relevant updates to project teams and stakeholders.
• Use work management tools, such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana, and MS Project, for tracking and reporting.
• Efficiently manage multiple testing projects with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Apply knowledge of CI/CD practices to streamline testing processes.

Requirements

• Candidates are required to be legally authorized to work in the United States without a sponsoring employer indefinitely.
• Proficiency in RESTful API testing, with hands-on experience using Postman and Soap UI.
• Strong expertise in test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
• Experience writing BDD test scripts in Gherkin language.
• Proficiency with JSON/XML structures and SQL for API/database validation.
• Experience using work management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana, or MS Project.
• Strong multitasking, planning, and time management skills.
• Experience testing APIs and microservices, including JUnit.
• Familiarity with API automation frameworks (e.g., UFT, Selenium, Cucumber, IntelliJ, Java).
• Experience with querying and analyzing data in Splunk.
• Proficiency with BDD scripting (Gherkin language).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD practices.
