About the position

The Test Engineer at Continental Autonomous Mobility US, LLC is responsible for managing software and systems test progress, ensuring timely execution of test-related activities, and serving as the primary interface for project test matters. This role involves creating and releasing the overall project test strategy, consolidating test schedules, monitoring project test status, and developing effective testing approaches in collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage software/systems test progress and ensure successful on-time execution.
  • Prepare test and validation product release recommendations, including project test reports.
  • Serve as the primary interface for project test-related matters, acting as the responsible contact for all tasks within the organization.
  • Create and release the overall project test strategy, including Systems, Software, Hardware, and Mechanical aspects.
  • Consolidate, monitor, and drive other disciplines to ensure timely execution of test-related activities.
  • Align all domain test schedules and consolidate them into an overall project test schedule.
  • Maintain the project test schedule throughout the project, ensuring agreement on necessary milestones and deliveries.
  • Monitor and report the overall project test status, including internal and customer-level tests.
  • Organize the definition of regression strategies with domain test managers and ensure necessary test coverage.
  • Develop efficient and effective testing approaches with all involved stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in developing automotive electronic or electromechanical products.
  • 2 years of experience using IBM Rational DOORs or DOORs NextGen for requirements engineering or management.
  • 2 years of test and validation experience, including software, product, vehicle, algorithm, or hardware testing.
  • 2 years of experience acting as lead validation tester in a development project.
  • 1 year of experience working with lead engineers in project scheduling.
  • 1 year of experience using an issue-tracking tool to report hardware, software, and mechanical issues.
