About the position

Join our dynamic team focusing on electromagnetic actuator and valve development and validation in the engine valve domain. This opportunity involves product engineering for engine control valves, with the majority of time spent in the lab. This role supports Hydraulic valve testing/development, managing valves that control gas to an engine, throttle valves, bypass and fluid valves. As part of our team, you will be responsible for supporting various projects, including New Product Introduction (NPI), Continuous Product Improvement (CPI), and field failure. Although you can work from home, lab visits are required 2-3 days a week depending on the workload. New team members will start on field failures to learn and then will transition into CPI and NPI roles.

Responsibilities

• Support hydraulic valve testing and development.
• Manage valves that control gas to an engine, including throttle valves, bypass, and fluid valves.
• Assist in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
• Contribute to Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) initiatives.
• Investigate and analyze field failures.

Requirements

• 5 years of relevant experience (or 3+ years inclusive of internships/co-ops/projects).
• Electrical understanding and aptitude.
• Experience in car repair.
• Understanding of engine and emission control systems.
• Knowledge of electricity & magnetism and its application to actuate mechanical and hydraulic mechanisms.
• Ability to create detailed & actionable verification and validation test plans.
• Experience working with internal test labs, supplier test labs, and machine/engine field testing sites.
• Ability to interpret GD&T, technical drawings, and schematics.
