About the position

The Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of DC-DC products through documentation, troubleshooting, analysis, and qualification processes. This role involves supporting production efforts, resolving non-conformances, and developing test hardware and fixtures to meet production yield goals. The engineer will also engage in various analyses and support external tests, ensuring timely new-product releases to production while collaborating with design and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for DC-DC products (documentation, troubleshooting, analysis and qualification) to meet Production Yield Goals.
  • Support production by troubleshooting DC-DC Converters, supporting functional tests and providing trimming process guidance.
  • Ensure the resolution of non-conformances from failure mode to root cause through corrective and preventative action.
  • Perform analyses (Stress and Thermal Analysis, MTBF -Reliability), as necessary.
  • Design and develop test hardware, using Cadence Allegro, and perform simulations for analysis.
  • Support the release of design packages and review customer specification data sheets.
  • Support external tests, such as vibration and shock, as well as radiation tests, including Total Ionizing Dose (TID) and Single Event Effects (SEE).
  • Develop and implement test fixtures for ATE (Chroma) conversion projects.
  • Initiate, write & release new test programs to ensure timely new-product release to production.
  • Perform test validation, improvement, qualification and release to production per corporate standards and procedures.
  • Identify root causes and resolve problems related to automated test equipment (ATE), test adapters, main board and test fixtures.
  • Work with operations to identify and document test improvement opportunities.
  • Support the test engineering and design teams to define proper test concepts.

Requirements

  • Masters/bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Microelectronics).
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry (preferably product and/or test engineering).
  • Basic experience in related product testing in terms of hardware, test correlation, test summary/data uploading, release process and interfacing.
  • Knowledge of Automated Test Equipment such as Teradyne, chroma, Visual Studio.
  • Experience building test pictures.
  • Knowledge in PCB design (EMI Filters, LabView, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of electronic engineering principles in areas including analog and digital circuits, power supplies, and DC-DC converters.
  • Experience in PCB schematic capture tools such as OrCAD / Cadence Allegro.
  • Basic programming experience programming in C / C++, VBasic or Python.
  • Hands-on experience performing bench electrical measurements using signal generators, DVMs, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and teamwork capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with multiple different stakeholders.
