About the position

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role at Wipro Limited focuses on developing and enhancing test automation frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. This position requires a strong foundation in core Java, SQL, and various testing methodologies, with an emphasis on automation and continuous integration practices. The SDET will work independently and collaboratively within an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance test automation frameworks.
• Write complex SQL queries to test data and applications.
• Utilize CI/CD tools like Jenkins for automation processes.
• Conduct various types of automated testing including Unit, Functional, Load, Security, and Integration testing.
• Simulate complex multi-system scenarios using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with team members to improve testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of core Java and OOP concepts.
• Experience in writing complex SQL queries for testing purposes.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server and Oracle DB.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Excellent understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with automation testing tools like Ranorex, SoapUI/Postman, and IBM RIT.
• Understanding of web technologies, including web services and RESTful APIs.
