Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer with a focus on testing and automated testing to support systems and software development testing, simulation, and aircraft/lab integration activities for the United States Air Force's (USAF) Advanced Airborne Threat Target Control System (AATTCS) program, formerly known as the Gulf Range Drone Control System (GRDCS), at Eglin Air Force Base (EAFB), Florida. This role is critical in ensuring that the systems developed meet the rigorous standards required for military applications. The engineer will be responsible for designing and developing complex test programs, processes, and systems that measure the functionality and integrity of products and services. In this position, the engineer will write complex test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability, evaluating the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications. Gathering test data and evaluating the results of tests will be essential to determine if product designs and architecture meet customer specifications and performance expectations. The engineer will also develop complex test simulations to evaluate how products react under different conditions, analyzing product failures to assess the integrity and reliability of product performance. Collaboration with other engineering groups will be a key aspect of this role, as the engineer will work to improve or upgrade product performance based on testing outcomes. This position requires a strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing methodologies, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
