About the position

The Test Engineer at Sanmina Corporation is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cost-effective methods of testing electronics within a manufacturing environment. This role involves creating and maintaining test-related processes and procedures that align with both departmental and customer requirements. The Test Engineer will troubleshoot and maintain test systems and equipment, ensuring that all testing processes are efficient and effective. The position requires a strong focus on supporting electronics testing and debugging functional failures, which is critical for the successful manufacture of electronic products. In this role, the Test Engineer will be tasked with writing detailed test plans, maintenance procedures, operational work instructions, and test procedures. They will execute structured problem-solving efforts to address any issues that arise during the testing process. Additionally, the Test Engineer will maintain test labor standards and conduct capacity analysis for various products, ensuring that testing processes are optimized for efficiency. The Test Engineer will also be responsible for writing technical reports that communicate findings related to design, test, and electrical failures to a multifaceted team. Effective communication with management regarding the status of projects is essential. The role includes identifying and driving test and process improvements to closure, as well as identifying and communicating any product software and hardware design deficiencies to customers. Training technicians in debugging functional test failures and the use of diagnostic equipment is another key responsibility. The Test Engineer will also maintain test equipment, which includes performing preventative maintenance, conducting failure diagnostics, and executing necessary equipment repairs. The ability to work effectively in a team environment is crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Experience in electrical and electronic engineering or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to execute structured problem-solving efforts.
• Proficiency in writing technical documentation, including test plans and procedures.
• Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining test systems and equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members.
