Test Equipment Project Engineer

About the position

We are seeking a Test Equipment Project Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of innovative test equipment solutions. This role requires 5+ years of experience in test equipment engineering, a solid technical foundation, and exceptional organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and production readiness of test systems across multiple programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement test equipment for manufacturing, validation, and qualification processes.
• Conduct requirements gathering, feasibility assessments, and conceptual designs for test systems.
• Manage the integration, calibration, commissioning, and production deployment of test equipment for aerospace programs.
• Perform root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives for test system performance.
• Work with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure compliance with product and production requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years in test equipment engineering with a strong project management background.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar.
• Proficiency in test equipment design tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
• Expertise in instrumentation, data acquisition, and automated testing systems.
• Experience using Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar tools for project tracking.
• Strong written and verbal communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements (AS9100).

Nice-to-haves

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing environments.
