About the position

Google's Raxium display group is seeking an engineer to develop and optimize opto-electrical test acquisition software for microLED displays. This role is crucial in ensuring that the software test platform and architecture meet the needs of both production and Research and Development (R&D) environments, contributing to the advancement of revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize opto-electrical test acquisition software for microLED displays.
  • Ensure that software test platform and architecture meet the needs of production and Research and Development (R&D) environments.
  • Collaborate with numerous engineering teams to implement new test strategies and techniques.
  • Work with Test Engineering and Reliability teams to enhance test frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in developing test acquisition software.
  • Experience in wafer-level test, motion control, computer vision systems, image processing, or opto-electronic test.
  • Experience with data integration into SQL databases to support scaled manufacturing operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
  • 5 years of experience in CMOS/IC testing in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3 years of experience with data analysis in semiconductor R&D or manufacturing.
  • Experience working with Instrument control such as power supply, current meter, voltage meter, digital meter, SMU, spectrometer, industrial cameras, and other lab equipment.
  • Experience in software development using Python.
