About the position
The Test Manager will provide DE testing support for High Power Microwaves (HPM) and High Energy Lasers (HEL) platforms at Kirtland AFB, NM. This role involves coordinating personnel shifts, executing test organization for USAF campaigns, and leading technical efforts in various experiments. The Test Manager will also mentor new hires and ensure adherence to Air Force and DoD regulations while maintaining high standards of quality and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating an AFTC directed shift of OL-AA personnel to HELSTF onboard WSMR.
- Executing Test Organization (ETO) for the USAF Life Cycle Management Center (LCMC) Directed Energy Prototype campaign.
- Providing technical writing support to the USAF Strategic Development Planning and Experimentation (SDPE) Experiment 1.
- Serving as technical and test lead for the Directed Energy portion of SDPE Experiment 2.
- Mentoring new hire personnel, particularly NH03 test Engineer and NH04 Director.
Requirements
- A Master's Degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Working knowledge of Direct Energy systems.
- Familiarity with HPL and HPM technology.
- Ability to work within specific procedures and processes of the Air Force Test Center and DoD regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Dedication to achieving the mission of the DE CTF and high standards of quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects.
