About the position

The Test Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of aircraft components for a major U.S. defense contractor. This position involves assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and qualification of components, utilizing specialized equipment to meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts assembly, disassembly, rework, and testing of aircraft components and systems.
• Performs functional testing using pre-established procedures and documents results.
• Runs electrical assembly testing, as well as thermal and vibratory (vibe) tests.
• Troubleshoots electronic components as necessary to meet engineering requirements.
• Analyzes test results to verify compliance with specifications and tolerances.
• Monitors ongoing tests, records data, and services test equipment as needed.
• Operates test stands, vibratory tables, thermal chambers, and other specialized equipment.
• Participates in internal audits and contributes to waste minimization efforts.
• Interfaces with cross-functional teams to resolve business issues and update project status.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in reliability testing and maintenance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with specialized testing equipment.
• Knowledge of military and commercial electronics.
