About the position

The Test System Engineer - Electrical Hardware role at LTTS involves designing and developing test systems for electrical hardware in a manufacturing environment. The position requires expertise in embedded systems, PCB design, and test system integration, focusing on ensuring the reliability and functionality of electronic components through rigorous testing and validation processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test system solutions based on test requirements.
• Develop secondary PCB used as interface between Smart test system and the PCB under test.
• Development of test box for interface between software and unit under test.
• Support test box development & coordination with cross-functional team.
• Analyze and develop Test Plans and procedures for Qualification and Acceptance processes.
• Test setup preparation, System integration, design verification and validation.
• Technical presentation & reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experienced in embedded micro-processor/controller based system, architecture, PCB hardware, interfaces, components (HC11, PIC, DSP Processors).
• Familiarity with board level troubleshooting and finding solutions.
• Familiarity with schematics capture & PCB tools like PADS Logic and Layout is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with hardware circuit using ADC, digital memory chips, RAM, ROM, Power up sequence, Timing circuits.
• Experience in design verification, testing & troubleshooting of electrical hardware test system.
• Familiarity with different communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, 1553 etc.
• Experience in design and development of automated test systems, using NI LabVIEW hardware and standalone smart system.
• Should be able to use basic Laboratory measurement equipment like DMM, Oscilloscope, Power supply, function generator etc.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
