About the position

As a Test Technician at IMA Life North America, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our products. Your primary responsibilities will include providing assistance to the Test team, conducting both mechanical and electrical tests on units, and meticulously recording and maintaining test records. You will also assist in meeting ISO9000 documentation requirements, directly rectify any incorrect or failed components, and identify software failures for rectification. Your efforts will contribute to improving the quality of future machines, ensuring that all nameplates, safety warnings, and other necessary components are installed correctly before dispatching equipment. Additionally, you will support the Project Manager during customer visits and operational training, ensuring that all test procedures are completed during production as outlined in our quality procedures. You will also be responsible for providing necessary test documents for machine manuals and consistently promoting SHEQ site requirements for yourself, your department, and all contractors, visitors, and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to the Test team as a whole.
  • Test units both mechanically and electrically.
  • Record, document, and maintain test records.
  • Assist in ISO9000 documentation requirements.
  • Direct rectification of incorrect and failed components.
  • Identify software failures and rectify them.
  • Improve quality for future machines.
  • Ensure nameplates and safety warnings are installed and equipment is correctly dispatched.
  • Support Project Manager during customer visits and operational training.
  • Ensure all test procedures are completed during production as identified in quality procedures.
  • Provide test documents as required for machine manuals.
  • Consistently observe and promote SHEQ site requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or 3-5 years practical experience.
  • Experience in electrical, control, software, and refrigeration preferred.
  • Ability to liaise with customers and shop personnel.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
