About the position

The Printed Circuit Board Assembly Test Technician is responsible for testing and troubleshooting printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA's) and operating assembly and test equipment to meet departmental output objectives. This role involves performing complex technical functions related to PCBA assembly, testing, and troubleshooting, while ensuring high-quality work and effective communication of results.

Responsibilities

• Perform test and troubleshooting on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA's).
• Operate PCBA assembly and test equipment to support department output objectives.
• Run Genrad Test and Flying Probe Test Machines.
• Troubleshoot failed PCBA's to the component level.
• Utilize assembly prints, mechanical part drawings, and schematics.
• Effectively document and communicate results of failure analysis.
• Assist in the development of production documentation such as work instructions and troubleshoot aids.
• Perform minor repair and maintenance of production and/or test equipment.
• Provide training to production operators and technicians.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AAS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology desired.
• Two (2) years prior experience in Production and/or Manufacturing.
• Experience in manufacturing/testing/troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits in Aircraft Instruments or other Electronics is desired.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical assembly prints.
• Aptitude and physical abilities to learn soldering and become solder certified.
• Knowledge of prototype, assembly drawings, and blueprint reading.
