About the position

The Testing Analyst role focuses on manual and automated testing of APIs and microservices, requiring a strong background in testing methodologies and automation frameworks. The position emphasizes collaboration within an Agile environment, ensuring high-quality test delivery and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of APIs and microservices.
• Develop and implement test automation scripts using JAVA or Python.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks for API and web testing.
• Deliver test results and reports to stakeholders in an Agile model.
• Validate content from XML, databases, and flat files using scripts.
• Utilize Jenkins for building CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality in software delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of strong testing experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in test automation of APIs and microservices.
• Proficient in scripting for automation using JAVA or Python.
• Experience with building automation frameworks for API/Web testing.
• Solid understanding of RESTful web services and microservice architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with API automation frameworks like SOAPUI or Rest Assured.
• Knowledge of database and SQL queries for data validation.
• Understanding of the complete test process including requirement analysis and test case creation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with mainframe software development tools and platforms (z/OS, z/VM, z/Linux, IBM System z).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
