About the position

The Testing Coordinator (Information Technology Consultant Level 1) at Eastern Oregon University is responsible for managing the EOU Testing Center, providing extensive testing support to students and faculty, and overseeing tutoring schedules in the Learning Center. This full-time position involves operating various testing programs, including ACCUPLACER, SAT, CLEP, and PearsonVUE, while ensuring a smooth testing experience for all users. The role also includes administrative duties related to data management and support for faculty in a technical online environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and manage the EOU Testing Center.
  • Provide testing support to students and faculty of EOU and other institutions.
  • Support the tutoring schedule in the Learning Center.
  • Administer various tests including ACCUPLACER, SAT, CLEP, and PearsonVUE.
  • Manage the ACCUPLACER program and maintain results in BANNER.
  • Provide first-tier support for electronic testing systems.
  • Schedule and proctor exams for EOU students and other colleges.
  • Maintain communication with proctors regarding policies and procedures.
  • Manage database archives and data transfers for testing records.
  • Create and manage the Testing Center web page and job descriptions for student employees.

Requirements

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Access, HTML, and Excel.
  • Strong experience using web and email tools.
  • Specialized training in Canvas, CLEP, PearsonVUE, Metro Institute, and ACCUPLACER.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a demanding schedule.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff, faculty, and students.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in educational testing environments.
  • Familiarity with online testing platforms and proctoring services.
