About the position

The Bench Assistant Food Service Team Lead at The Golub Corporation is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in the food court area while overseeing staff operations, training, and inventory control. This role ensures compliance with sanitation regulations and assists in the preparation of large quantities of food, maintaining a clean and organized workspace to promote sales and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
• Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers upon fulfilling their requests.
• Engage in sampling and suggestive selling, ending each transaction with a 'Thank You'.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the food court area, including training, scheduling, and inventory control.
• Assist in preparing and cooking large quantities of food for finishing cooks.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of recipes and ingredient formulas for food court areas.
• Ensure all associates adhere to company and state sanitation policies and procedures.
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Maintain Cold case logs, Hot food logs, and Cooling logs consistent with store policy.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic literacy and basic computer skills.
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of related experience.
