About the position

The Marketing Investment Manager at The North Face is responsible for overseeing the management of investment data for the Global Brand Marketing team. This role focuses on optimizing marketing budget management and performance metrics to ensure that spending aligns with business objectives. The manager collaborates with various teams to develop dashboards, facilitate decision-making, and track campaign investments across channels and markets, ultimately driving effective marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Global marketing budgets for The North Face, ensuring alignment with business objectives and marketing strategies.
  • Drive planning and communication flow across the Marketing team for budget management, utilizing VF's MAP Marketing Planner toolkit.
  • Monitor and track marketing expenses, POs, forecasts, and monthly variances, providing updates to senior management.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze relevant data, including sell-through and engagement metrics.
  • Create and manage marketing data models to improve results and optimize budget allocation.
  • Develop project-based budgets with Marketing budget owners and forecast future expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting for accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Deliver fact-based recommendations to improve marketing performance and optimize budget resources.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in finance or a related field requiring organization of large data sets and strategic planning.
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and stakeholder accountability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Tableau, and other reporting systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in Finance, Statistics, or Business; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of The North Face brand and a passion for outdoor and athletic industries.
