About the position

As a Supervisor at The North Face, you will lead and motivate a team of brand associates to deliver a best-in-class customer experience that aligns with the company's values. You will work closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to enhance profitability through effective customer engagement, merchandising, and operational compliance. This role also emphasizes personal development through training programs and cross-functional opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop staff to exceed individual and store productivity goals.
  • Engage customers in conversation about The North Face products and local community events.
  • Supervise floor coverage and activities, including opening and closing the store as scheduled.
  • Provide training and ongoing development of store staff in customer engagement and company policies.
  • Support the Store Manager in achieving financial and operational objectives, including expense control and store audits.
  • Implement visual merchandising directives and maintain brand standards.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and company directives.
  • Model respectful behavior towards diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Promote a creative and participative environment by sharing best practices.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of store management experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales results.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to drive results through team collaboration.
  • Willingness to learn and share knowledge about products and community activities.
  • Ability to provide a highly engaging customer experience through service and relationship building.
  • Excellent decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with proficient computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a specialty retail environment or outdoor apparel industry.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
