About the position

The Theater Audio Engineer at Riverside Church is a part-time role focused on maintaining audio equipment, supporting theater rentals, and assisting the Technical Director. This position is integral to ensuring high-quality audio experiences for various events and reflects the church's commitment to social justice and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize all audio/video equipment.
• Work as a technician for theater rentals, primarily as an audio engineer, but also as a light board operator or stagehand if needed.
• Assist the Theater Technical Director in maintaining the space and managing work calls.
• Support the Technical Services department with room setups and events outside of the theater.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of theater experience in sound design or engineering.
• Experience working as a theater crew technician.
• Bachelor's degree in Theater.
• Knowledge of QLab is a must.
• Basic familiarity with Dante is required.
• Professional demeanor to represent the church to clients.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.
• Strong customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.
• Creative, dedicated, focused, and proactive.
