About the position

Dordt University is seeking a visiting theology faculty member for a limited term, two-year position to teach multiple sections of an introductory-level "Biblical Foundations" course in their growing Core program, along with selected upper-level course offerings in Theology. The role involves active participation in the department and university administrative tasks, as well as engagement in campus life.

Responsibilities

• Teach multiple sections of an introductory biblical worldview course in the Core curriculum.
• Teach other Theology courses as assigned.
• Participate as a full team member in department and university administrative tasks.
• Engage in the Core program and campus life of Dordt University.

Requirements

• Demonstrate a personal commitment to a Reformed Christian perspective and articulate that perspective in teaching.
• Express an active Christian commitment, including affiliation with a local, confessionally Reformed congregation.
• Personal endorsement of The Educational Task of Dordt University and commitment to its curricular design.
• An earned or in-process doctorate in theology or related field is preferred; a master's degree is required.
• Demonstrated excellence (or potential for excellence) in teaching, including instructional design and dynamic classroom management.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in curriculum design and ongoing student learning assessment.
