About the position

The Therapeutics Research Scientist position at Freyr, in collaboration with Merck Pharmaceuticals, is designed for individuals with a strong background in laboratory research and a passion for therapeutic development. This role involves contributing to the early scientific team focused on building various therapeutic modalities, with opportunities to engage in antibody production and characterization.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to lab administration and organization through ordering and managing inventory.
• Prepare buffers and reagents for experiments.
• Perform standard DNA- and protein-based procedures such as plasmid preparation and gel electrophoresis.
• Execute tissue culture-based experiments, including maintaining and transfecting mammalian cell lines.
• Support the execution of antibody production and learn about antibody therapeutics.
• Assist in the biophysical characterization of antibodies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of academic or industry experience in a related role.
