About the position

The Therapist position at STHAR Counseling Services involves providing professional counseling services to clients, including Veterans, Adults, and Couples. The role focuses on conducting individual and group therapy sessions, developing treatment plans, and utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients dealing with various mental health issues such as anxiety, PTSD, and depression. This is a contract position that offers flexibility in scheduling and guaranteed clients from the start.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with clients
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals
• Provide crisis management and intervention as needed
• Utilize research-based interventions and evidence-based practices in therapy sessions
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for clients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine client needs and progress
• Provide behavior management strategies for clients with developmental disabilities
• Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of ICD-10 coding in documentation

Requirements

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or related field
• Valid Oklahoma licensure as a Clinical Therapist (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPC-C)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a private practice setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in crisis management and intervention techniques
