About the position

The Mental Health Counselor position is part of a rapidly expanding national organization focused on substance abuse and mental health. The role involves providing compassionate care and clinical expertise within the Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Counseling program, aimed at exceeding the expectations of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• New patient intake and orientation
• Conduct initial assessment of patient problems and needs and report to clinical team to initiate treatment planning
• Conduct individual sessions
• Facilitate groups with patients
• Address patient's concerns and help eliminate possibility of AMA
• Provide Case Management
• Provide tours for prospective patients and their families as requested
• Document in patient medical record

Requirements

• Must have one of the following: LAC, LPC, LSW or LCSW
• Mental Health license or certification, clean and active
• Experience conducting group sessions
• Flexibility and willingness are great attributes
