About the position

The Therapist is responsible for providing trauma-informed clinical services to individual clients and their support systems, focusing on mental health and addiction needs. This role involves developing treatment and transition plans, managing caseloads, and ensuring effective communication with clients and external resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic trauma-informed clinical services to individual clients and support caregivers.
  • Develop treatment plans in conjunction with clients, addressing their mental health and addiction needs.
  • Conduct interviews and evaluations to establish diagnoses and levels of care.
  • Create transition plans that address ongoing treatment issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of appropriate services for clients and their support systems.
  • Manage caseloads through client engagement and outreach.
  • Establish positive rapport with clients and families.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy as per treatment plans.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of client progress.
  • Provide crisis intervention as assigned.
  • Refer clients to additional resources and treatment as necessary.
  • Coordinate communication and services with internal and external programs.
  • Comply with documentation requirements according to agency policies.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including training and meetings.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Current state licensing requirements (LMHC, LMHCA, LCSW, LSW, LCAC) or obtain temporary license within 45 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health and addiction conditions and best practices for treatment.
  • Well-developed listening and interviewing skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with community partners.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills related to specific populations.
  • Ability to work as part of a treatment team.
  • Cultural sensitivity and effective decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to travel for agency needs and work in community settings.
