About the position

The Licensed Therapist/Counselor position at Numinus involves providing compassionate mental health care through innovative therapies, including psychedelic-assisted treatments. This hybrid role requires working both remotely and in the Layton clinic, focusing on building trusting relationships with clients and collaborating with a team of licensed providers to deliver effective treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals, couples, families, and groups to address various mental health issues
• Conduct assessments and psychotherapeutic tests, diagnosing emotional issues, creating treatment plans, providing counseling both individually and in group settings
• Collaborate with other licensed providers at Cedar Psychiatry to create a team approach to helping patients
• Establish positive and trusting relationships with clients
• Implement various treatments and protocols to provide guidance and appropriately address client situations
• Continually assess client situations and provide the proper ongoing treatments
• Educate and involve family members or other loved ones in the treatment process when necessary
• Record and maintain adequate notes about client visits
• Maintain the strictest confidentiality of every client situation

Requirements

• Unrestricted license to practice in the State of Utah
• Meet all necessary state licensure requirements
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to actively listen
• Solid relationship-building capabilities and a positive and compassionate attitude
• Willingness to stay updated on new treatments, protocols, and licensure requirements within the field
• Passion for advancing the therapy field
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize needs

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in a related field
• 1 year of experience as a Licensed Therapist
• 1 year of experience in mental health counseling
