About the position
The Missouri Veterans Home is seeking a part-time Recreation/Music Therapist Aide to assist in providing therapeutic and leisure activities for veterans. This role is designed for individuals looking to make a positive impact in the lives of those who have served the country, while also enjoying a fun work environment.
Responsibilities
- Learn and demonstrate basic methods and application of recreational, music, and other therapeutic activities.
- Make preparations/arrangements for and carry out activities, such as group outings.
- Provide resources and support to Veterans to enhance skills appropriate to their physical and cognitive ability.
- Document electronically activity attendance records, assessments, progress notes, and care plans.
- Drive bus or other state vehicles during day/night both in town and on highway.
- Lift and move Veterans as needed.
Requirements
- 0 - 1 years of relevant experience.
- Current Missouri Class E driver license.
