About the position

The Therapy Support Specialist at Medtronic plays a crucial role in supporting the Interstim Therapy groups by providing surgical coverage, follow-up support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education within a designated territory. This position is integral in ensuring that healthcare providers are well-informed about the products and therapies offered, thereby enhancing patient care and access to innovative treatments.

Responsibilities

  • Represents Medtronic Neuromodulation during surgeries and implants by providing necessary equipment and demonstrating expertise in implant techniques.
  • Maintains current knowledge about assigned products and competitive offerings.
  • Proactively identifies needs and educates caregivers and account employees in new and existing accounts.
  • Educates and trains physicians and hospital personnel on technical matters related to products and therapies through various educational formats.
  • Assists in the training of new employees in the district, including therapy consultants and clinical specialists.
  • Provides sales support during or after cases, including documentation and order placement for products.
  • Maintains effective communication with district personnel, customers, and other Medtronic employees.
  • Contributes to project milestones at regional and national levels.
  • Follows all quality procedures to ensure compliance and high-quality work.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of patient care/clinical experience; or
  • Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of patient care/clinical experience; or
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of patient care/clinical experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree
  • Clinical skill and knowledge related to implantable Neuromodulation products
  • Experience in servicing medical personnel on product use
  • Experience working with a medical device or pharmaceutical company
  • Ability to communicate effectively with sales and healthcare professionals
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
