About the position

Great Hearts Live Oak Lower School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill the role of a long-term substitute teacher for the Third Grade. This position is set to commence on December 1st, or earlier if possible, and is a full-time, temporary role. As a long-term substitute, you will be responsible for leading the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education in line with the school's classical liberal arts curriculum. The ideal candidate will be someone who is committed to public education and has a servant's heart, working collaboratively with other educators to foster a positive learning environment. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic teaching team where collaboration is key. The Lead Teacher will guide the classroom while you, as the substitute, will take on the responsibilities of leading instruction, managing classroom behavior, and supporting the educational needs of the students. Responsibilities
