About the position

Hill International is seeking a Third-Party Manager in Seattle, Washington, responsible for managing a wide range of third-party agreements, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and mitigating risks associated with contracts. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to draft, review, and maintain agreements while managing relationships with third-party vendors and utility providers. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, along with a solid understanding of contract law and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and manage a wide range of third-party agreements, including utility agreements, vendor contracts, service agreements, NDAs, and licensing agreements.
  • Ensure all agreements are executed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and state policies.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of all executed agreements for easy access and tracking.
  • Regularly review and update agreements to reflect changes in business needs, legal requirements, or industry standards.
  • Identify and assess potential legal and contractual risks associated with third-party agreements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and protect the company's interests.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential third-party partners to ensure their financial stability and reputation.
  • Ensure compliance of all third-party agreements with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in legal and regulatory requirements that may impact third-party agreements.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on third-party agreement compliance.
  • Manage relationships with third parties, ensuring they meet their contractual obligations.
  • Resolve disputes and issues that may arise with third-party vendors.
  • Monitor performance and evaluate the suitability of third parties for continued business relationships.
  • Recommend terms and conditions of third-party agreements to achieve favorable terms for the Program.
  • Collaborate with various subject matter experts to understand business needs and identify appropriate third-party agreements.
  • Work closely with Washington State's legal counsel and contracts team to ensure agreements are legally sound and compliant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in contract management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction, contract law, utility providing, and legal principles.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and legal research tools.
